Pink Floyd teilten heute einen Kommentar von Alan Parsons, den er vor zwei Wochen anläßlich des 50ers von The Dark Side Of The Moon, auf seiner Facebook-Seite postete.
ALAN PARSONS: Today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. To this day, I feel honored to have been a part of such a groundbreaking album. Our goal at the time was to stretch the boundaries of the recording process, and in the process create something magical. And I think many will agree we achieved that goal.
As engineer, I was grateful that the band was open to a number of my suggestions, which included the use of the clocks on the intro to Time, as well as utilization of a very talented vocalist who I had previously worked with named Clare Torry for the vocals on Great Gig in the Sky.
The fact that we are still talking about this album 50 years later is something I never would have dreamed possible. And yet, here we are…

Schade, dass Parsons bei der 50th Anniversary Box so ganz und gar nicht vorkommt. Sein Early Mix 1972 auf Vinyl beispielsweise, wäre eine tolle Aufwertung, des vor Raritäten mangelnden neuen Sets gewesen.
Werner wollte Parson nicht auch erwirken das er bei Tiem in den Credits genannt wird wegen den Uhren?
