Roger Waters 16.7.2006 Locarno Piazza Grande

Locarno – 8.000 – not sold out. The Locarno concert was a lot different a the one we saw in Magny-Cours there it was more like a huge rock show with all the special effects. In Switzerland Roger Waters did not use any pyrotechnics at all not even the spaceman during Perfect sense. He played a stripped show only the music with the well know set list and the great images on the big screen. And the fantastic location on the square and the small stage made this concert very intimate more like a Gilmour concert.

This time we choose to be right in front and managed to get to the second row which is easy when there are no seats. I saw Roger Waters four times this year and this was my favourite gig manly because of the location too. The only arena show in Rotterdam was awesome to. The songs I liked the most tonight were the last four of the Dark Side set. Again a great concert we were very lucky that we could be there!

And after buying a tour book for our friend Werner we set the controls for Italy and the head objective of our 6.250 km trip The David Gilmour concerts!!!!
