Im Gespräch mit David Gilmour und Polly Samson! Termine in L.A. und New York

David Gilmour und seine Crew sind längst in Los Angeles eingetroffen. Am 24. März startet er seine erste US-Tour, seit “On An Island” 2006, mit einem Konzert in der Hollwood Bowl! Wo er zuletzt am 22.9.1972 mit Pink Floyd gespielt hat! Auch schon wieder 44 Jahre seither vergangen.

Polly Samson, deren aktuelles Buch “The Kindness” gerade in den USA veröffentlicht wurde, nutzt die Tour ihres Ehemanns um auf den neuen Roman aufmerksam zu machen. Neben Interviews sind in L.A. und New York “In Conversation” Termine von ihr mit Ehemann bestätigt. In New York bei Damian Barr’s Literatur Salon, ein enger Freund der Gilmour’s, ist neben Polly ein Überraschungsgast angekündigt, dreimal dürft ihr Raten wer das sein könnte. Die wortgewandte Autorin und der schüchterne (laut Polly manchmal etwas autistisch veranlagte) Gilmour haben diese Art Gespräche im letzten Jahr mehrmals gemacht. Es wird wieder interessant sein weitere Details über ihre kreative Zusammenarbeit zu erfahren.

Learn more about her writing, the process between lyricist and musician, and get your stuff signed by Samson and Ulin (but not Gilmour! Do not bring your Dark Side of The Moon stuff! He will not sign it! Seriously, don’t be that guy!) at this Last Bookstore event!

Polly and Jonathan will give readings and be interviewed by Damian who will take your questions. There will then be a short interval before our final, surprise, guest. You can buy books on the night and there will be a signing afterwards.
