Mode-Fotoshooting mit Matt Gilmour

Für die aktuelle Frühjahrs und Sommer Werbekampagne der britischen Bekleidungsmarke “Burberrys”, stand neben der bekannten Schauspielerin Emma Watson (Harry Potter) auch ein gewisser Matt Gilmour (24) vor der Linse des bekannten Modefotografen Mario Testino. Matt sieht nicht nur gut aus, er ist auch wie sein Vater David Gilmour. Matt stammt aus der ersten Ehe seines Vaters mit Ginger. Matt spielt derzeit in zwei Bands Sunset´s Edge und The Acoma Band. Die Hörproben gefallen mir sehr gut! Die Promofotos der Band wurde Astoria gemacht. Vielleicht hören wir ihn auch auf dem zukünftigen Album seines Vaters. Zurück zum Fotoshooting. Matt wandelt auf den Pfaden seines Vaters, der ungefähr im gleichen Alter, als Model gearbeitet hat. In einem Interview für den “Record Collector” aus dem Jahre 2003 berichtete David Gilmour über seine sehr kurze aber gut bezahlte Karriere als Model.

Record Collector: How did male modelling fit into all this?

David Gilmour: I was hanging about in London for moments in the mid-60s. I was getting a little bored with Cambridge. Being in a band, gigging two to five times a week, there wasn’t much money around. Wed get an average of A320 to A325 a gig, to share between six or seven people. Every once a while, someone I knew would say that they wanted someone to go up to Santa Pod Raceway next week and sit in a stupid motor with stupid clothes on and have your photo taken. It was A350 for a day. Fifty quid a day! I was in. I was never a model at an agency or anything like that, but if you could get a job like that, the equivalent of three weeks gigging, you jumped at it. That said, I probably only did three days like that in my life. So, its not strictly accurate when I’m described as a male model.
